LOAN ACCOUNTING ERRORS AND WRONGFUL CHARGES
It happens more frequently than most would expect, and far too often. Banks and mortgage servicers can, and do, regularly make serious mistakes when handling customers’ accounts. Frequently, when the borrower asks the bank or mortgage servicer to correct these mistakes, they are given the runaround by an inflexible and non-responsive bureaucracy. Often, frustrated borrowers give up and pay money they don’t owe simply to protect their home.
Sometimes the borrower cannot afford to pay or refuses to give in.
